Paul Simon

Went to see Paul Simon playing at Hyde Park yesterday -- with guest spots from Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Hugh Masekela and Jimmy Cliff.

The Punch Brothers and Alison Krauss were the best of the support acts.  Astonishing to think it's 25 years since Graceland...

Amy LaVere

Went to see the very talented Amy LaVere at the Lexington last night. Fantastic gig!

Lovett

At the Shepherd's Bush Empire last night to see Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt - pictured here with guest Joe Ely who joined them for the final few songs.

Bregovic

At the Barbican last night, to see Goran Bregovic and his Weddings and Funerals Orchestra. The best bits for me were the songs from Underground.

R.E.M.

To the Albert Hall again, but this time for a rather different concert -- by R.E.M. -- which you can listen to here.

Classical spectacular!

At the Albert Hall for a 'classical spectacular' featuring the Royal Philharmonic, Royal Choral Society and the band of the Welsh Guards. Above you can see one of the cannons they used for the 1812 overture. Spectacular indeed - not sure about the flag-waving, though.

Shocked!

At the Union Chapel in Islington last night to see the brilliant Michelle Shocked playing a solo acoustic set.
